99.98% less performance: Lighthouse’s first merger of Ethereum and Eth2

Blockchain security provider Sigma Prime has announced its first merger transaction between the two networks.

The transaction was conducted using only proof of stake validators by its Lighthouse client, as stated in a March 25 report Tweet. This is a step towards reducing Ethereum’s energy consumption by 99.98% Calculations who compare the current Proof of Work Eth1 with the much more efficient Proof of Stake Eth2.
